The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has cancelled 15 international flights scheduled for Saturday due to ongoing airspace restrictions in the Middle East.
Since February 28, flights to several Gulf destinations, including Kuwait, Doha, and Dammam, have faced frequent disruptions as a result of conflict-related airspace limitations.
According to the Tribhuvan International Airport office, flights operated by Jazeera Airways and Kuwait Airways on the Kuwait–Kathmandu–Kuwait route have been cancelled. Similarly, Nepal Airlines and Himalaya Airlines services on the Kathmandu–Doha–Kathmandu and Kathmandu–Dammam–Kathmandu routes have been affected. Nepal Airlines’ Kathmandu–Dubai flight has also been called off.
CAAN has advised passengers to check their flight status before heading to the airport, noting that cancellations have been occurring on a daily basis.
