The Public Procurement Monitoring Office under the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers has blacklisted several construction companies for failing to complete contracted projects within the stipulated timeframe.
The office issued a public notice today stating that the companies were blacklisted following recommendations from various government agencies.
According to the notice, the construction companies were blacklisted under Section 63(1) of the Public Procurement Act, 2063 BS, for failing to complete the works they had undertaken within the agreed deadlines.
The blacklisted companies will remain barred for three years. During this period, they will not be permitted to participate in any government procurement or bidding processes.
The government has taken the action as part of efforts to strengthen discipline in public procurement, ensure timely completion of development projects and hold contractors accountable for delays in fulfilling contractual obligations.
