Kathmandu, April 2 : Admire Nepal and Globally Concern for Climate Change have today signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on the clean seven summit project in the capital.
Amidst a program held in the premises of Welcome Group in Bhimsengola, chairperson of Admire Nepal, Nita Poudel and P.K Sherpa, chief, Globally Concern for Climate Change inked the deal on the behalf of their respective organisations in the presence of Nirmal Raj Poudel, President, Welcome Group. The group will collaborate with both the two organisations in executing the clean seven summit project.
As per the MoU, Admire Nepal and Globally Concern for Climate Change will make combined efforts to clean up seven mountains of the country including Mount Everest, the world’s tallest peak under the project. Similarly, they have a plan to venture into cleaning up the mountains located in the other six countries.
According to P.K Sherpa, also known as climate campaigner, the project is aimed at raising global awareness on the need of protecting mountains for the continuous survival of humanity on the planet earth. It is estimated that Rs 70 million will be needed to successfully implement this project.
