Apex court seeks written reasons for not indicting former PMs in Baluwatar land scam

Kathmandu, February 16: The Supreme Court (SC) has issued an order to the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) demanding reasons in writing for not filing a charge-sheet against former Prime Ministers Madhav Kumar Nepal and Dr. Baburam Bhattarai in the Lalita Niwas land procurement scam. A single bench of Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher JBR asked the CIAA to submit written reasons on Friday (Feb 14) within 15 days.
