The Office of the Auditor General has submitted the consolidated financial statement of the federal government for Fiscal Year (FY) 2081/82.
The report includes the annual internal audit report along with the consolidated statement of government assets.
Auditor General Shobhakant Paudel presented the complete report to Finance Minister Rameshwor Khanal.
According to the findings, the government’s consolidated fund recorded a negative balance of Rs 196.34 billion, while the overall cash position showed a deficit of Rs 31.34 billion.
However, Spokesperson Lamichhane noted that when considering the balances of various funds and extra-budgetary bodies, the government’s total cash and bank balance amounted to a positive Rs 65.81 billion.
