Bagmati, September 6 : Chief Minister of Bagmati State, Dormani Poudel, on Saturday said the state government is setting up a fund worth Rs 3 billion to provide concessional loans for various sectors like agriculture, tourism, trade, environment education, etc. He said so in the course of monitoring the agriculture enterprises at various areas of Makawanpur district.
According to him, his government is currently engaged in devising effective programmes to make the state self-reliant particularly in the agricultural produce.
On the occasion, the minister also monitored the agricultural firms that have received concessional loans from the government. The Bandevi Agriculture Enterprise Group and Suryodaya Multipurpose Farmers Group that were monitored are operating on such loans provided by the Agriculture Knowledge Centre, Chitwan. At least 40 farmers are associated with the Center.
