Kathmandu, February 20: Bank of Kathmandu Limited has marked its 25th anniversary by holding a program here on Wednesday (Feb 19).
The very program, in which Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank, Dr. Chiranjibi Nepal, was the chief guest, was attended by the bank’s board of directors, management committee representatives and media personnel.
During it, Chief Guest Dr. Nepal revealed the 25th Anniversary logo of Bank of Kathmandu and expressed his gratitude towards the bank for its 25 years of service and conveyed his best wishes for the upcoming days.
The bank announced to donate Rs 10 million to Kathmandu Institute of Child Health for the construction of its ICU section on the occasion. Similarly, it offered financial support worth Rs 500,000 to the Society of Economic Journalist Nepal (SEJON) with an aim to encourage women’s participation in economic journalism in Nepal.
Mr. Shovan Dev Pant, Chief Executive Officer of the bank expressed his gratitude towards chief Guest Dr. Chiranjibi Nepal as well as the entire participants present at the program.
Bank of Kathmandu Limited currently has 87 branches including 10 extension counters and 78 ATMs across the country.
According to the financial statements, at the end of the second quarter of fiscal year 2076/77, the bank has been able to maintain a net profit of Rs. 88 crore 38 lakh with an increment of 20%, compared to the same period last Fiscal Year. During this period, bank deposits and loans have also increased by 7.8% and 9.14% respectively over the previous year amounting to Rs. 90.11 billion and Rs. 82.49 billion respectively.
