Fidim, January 9 : Banking service has reached out to all local levels in Panchthar district. With the expansion of banking services, it has become easier for the locals to do financial transactions.
Banking service has reached to all local levels of the district after a branch of the Prime Bank Limited was recently set up at Mauwa Bazaar, the centre of Tumbewa Rural Municipality on Monday.
Tumbewa Rural Municipality’s Chief Administrative Officer Deependra Dahal said the local offices and folks had faced trouble in absence of banking service at local level and the expansion of banking reach will resolve the problem.
“There was compulsion to go to Fidim to receive payment of plans”, he said, adding that the teachers and employees had to travel to the district headquarters for salary.
The rural municipality has made arrangements for providing all types of payments from the Prime Bank branch. “We are also mulling to deposit social security allowances through the bank if possible”, he added. RSS
