The customs office at Sirsiya, Birgunj, has reported a revenue collection of NPR 12.7 billion in the first three months of the current fiscal year (FY), accounting for 21.25% of the total annual target.
Chief Customs Officer Dhan Bahadur Baruwal noted that this figure represents a decrease of NPR 250 million compared to the same period last year.
In the first month of the current fiscal year, Shrawan (mid-July to mid-August), the customs office collected 79.28% of its monthly target. This improved to 88.50% in the second month, Bhadra (mid-August to mid-September), and further increased to 90.31% in the third month, Asoj (mid-September to mid-October).
For comparison, the dry port customs office reported a revenue collection of NPR 13.1 billion during the first three months of the last fiscal year.
