Myagdi, April 7 : Stakeholders in Myagdi have suggested the federal government to manage funds in the new fiscal year budget in order to give completion to the incomplete projects. The recommendations were made at a programme held in Beni on Saturday to collect suggestions for the fiscal year 2076/77 budget. The programme organised by the District Coordination Committee was held in the presence of National Assembly member and leader of NCP parliamentary party Dinanath Sharma. Participants of the programme including local level people’s representatives and political party leaders suggested completing the road, building, hydropower, drinking water and other infrastructure projects that remain stranded due to lack of budget in the past. They pointed out to the state of projects in the district like the Beni bazaar conservation project, Bedi-Darbang-Takam-Dhorpatan, Darbang-Burtibang, Greater Ghoptekhola, Chimkhola Bhagwati Piple drinking water projects, which remain incomplete due to lack of funds. According to DCC Chair Devendra Bahadur KC, the local leaders have also suggested expediting the Dandakhet power sub-station, Dandakhet-Rahughat transmission line projects. Speaking at the programme, former Member of Parliament Govinda Poudel said priority should be given to projects recommended by the local level and the district stakeholders. NA member Sharma on the occasion said the suggestions from the district shall be complied and presented in a report form to the Office of the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Finance. RSS
