For this purpose, the Aviation Service Directorate of CAAN has come up with various measures for improvement of aviation service and operational plans, including the adoption of air flight safety precautions during the monsoon season, restricting overtime flights.

Deputy Director General of the Aviation Service Directorate Prem Nath Thakur and Deputy Director General of Aviation Safety and Security Regulation Directorate Nabina Karmacharya unanimously said that flight safety regulations will be strictly implemented.

According to the officials of CAAN, it has been decided to send correspondence to various airlines operating through the Directorate of Aviation and Air Safety Regulation to strictly implement the provisions of the Civil Aviation Regulations 2058 BS.

According to Jagannath Niroula, spokesperson for CAAN, the flight schedules of airlines operating at specific airports will be approved by the air transport department. Moreover, extra time flights will not be permitted after the designated ‘operation hours’ in various airports, particularly during the months of July, August, and September, mentions the Domestic Airport and Management Directive of 2079 BS.

It is said that the domestic airports will be closely monitored to ensure that flight operations are carried out in a timely manner within the designated ‘operation hours’. The officials of CAAN have said that the decision will be approved by the Director General of CAAN and implemented thereafter.
