The cabinet approves the acquisition of land in Sindhupalchok, Palpa and Nawalparasi (Bardghat Susta) districts for the construction of power transmission lines and substations to MCA Nepal.

Announcing the decision made by the cabinet meeting held on July 4, Minister Sharma said on Thursday that the government approves to accept a concessional loan worth US $50 million from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) as budgetary assistance under the Customs and Logistics Reform Program.

She also said that the meeting decided to accept a US $ 300 million concessional loan from the ADB as project assistance to carry out SASEC highway improvement project.

The government has decided to transfer seven First Class Gazetted officers serving under Nepal Judicial Service.

Similarly, the government will issue an order to remove obstructions to increase the procedures of the Commission of Investigation of Enforced Disappeared Persons and the Commission of Truth and Reconciliation by the mid-January, 2024, provide the approval for removal of the houses in Rudi Khola Bhainse road section of Kaski District which is located under the boundary of Pushpa Lal Mid-Hill Highway project. 

The meeting also decided to approve the participation of Minister of State for Education, Science and Technology Pramila Kumari in the Fourth High Level Policy Forum Multilingual Education Program and Seventh International Conference on Language and Education to be held in Bangkok,Thailand.

Also, the cabinet meeting decided to promote Joint Secretary Ghanshyam Upadhyaya to the vacant position of secretary.
