He said the school children in remote areas who have been affected due to the impact of COVID-19 would be benefitted by the app developed with the goal so that students can search for and study learning materials in an easy and simple way. The Education Minister also said that the government has been developing and distributing various guidelines and educational materials so as not to waste the education session. The Ministry had issued the Alternative Learning Facilitation Guidelines, 2077 in May.

Similarly, a learning portal was developed through the Center by which all the textbooks as well as learning materials related to school education could be accessed. Audio-visual clips had also been developed and broadcast in radio and television. Center’s director general Baikuntha Aryal said the ‘E-class Nepal’ app has been developed as per the suggestions received from various stakeholders for developing learning materials that could be easily accessed even in low-speed internet and for preparing a system in which Grade 10 students without access to TV and computer could also avail of.

The app includes all the lessons developed by the Center and broadcast on television. It is said the textbooks kept in the portal can be studied in more simplified manner. The app also incorporates subject/class-wise teacher guidelines and curriculum that would be useful to the teachers as well. RSS
