Birendranagar, Oct 16: Economic Affairs Minister of Karnali State, Prakash Jwala has said that the Chinese government will support construction of the Surkhet-Hilsa road section. He shared that the construction policy was forwarded seeking Chinese support for the same.
At a press meet here on Tuesday, Minister Jwala said that the recent visit of the President of People’s Republic of China had opened the door to Nepal’s development and prosperity. He noted that the road section was a priority project of the State government.
The proposed road section is 403 kilometres long and estimated to cost Rs 50 billion. Jwala further said that the matter of constructing the road section was also discussed during the meeting between President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli. RSS
