Kathmandu, November 9: The office-bearers of Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) have hold discussions with Ambassador of Nepal to Belgium, Gehendra Rajbhandari, on the expansion of investment and promotion of economic diplomacy.
During a meeting with Rajbhandari in the capital on Sunday (November 8), CNI President Satish Kumar More, Senior Vice President Bishnu Kumar Agrawal and Vice President Birendra Raj Pandey called for promoting investment in Nepal from Belgium by way of the economic diplomacy. On the occasion, President More said that the CNI was pressing the government for simplifying the processes and easing the legal hassles to bring in such investment in Nepal.
He said the CNI was expecting positive responsive from the government. Saying that Nepal and Belgium are enjoying friendly relations, CNI President More stressed on the need for further deepening the bilateral relations for export promotion of Nepal’s woolen garments and handicrafts in European market.
He also called for taking initiatives for tourism promotion through publicity materials of Nepal’s religious, cultural and tourist destinations in Belgium and the EU member states. In response, Ambassador Rajbhandari assured to take initiatives for the expansion of foreign investment and export promotion of Nepali goods. RSS
