May 19: The construction works of Trishuli 3 B 220 KV Transmission Line Hub have resumed with the removal of obstacles posed by a few local individuals. Such works of the substation located in Pahirobesi of Kingspan Rural Municipality ward no 5 of Nuwakot were stalled owing to the obstacles created by them. They did so by putting forward some demands.
However, following the inspection of the construction site by Kulman Ghising, Managing Director, Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) on Thursday (May 17), the works again started.
During his inspection, he issued warning to those raising unwarranted demands to hamper the national priority project. He even asked the chief district offices to come up with necessary security arrangements to facilitate its smooth construction.
The substation shall be completed by this year to evacuate energy generated by the under-construction projects like 111 MW Rasuwagadhi, 42.5 MW Sanjen and 14.8 upper Sanjen.
The substation will evacuate over 600 MW of power generated in Trishuli basin. The 16-million dollar project is expected to complete by December, 2019.
