Kathmandu, August 28 : The government has projected that the coronavirus cases will further rise in the next few days across the country. In a regular press briefing organised at the Ministry of Health and Population yesterday, MoHP Spokesperson Dr Jageshwor Gautam made such a projection on the basis of the current rise in the number of such cases.
The COVID-19 infection has now been increasing at the places where there is the presence of security personnel, health workers, employees and densely populated areas, according to him.
The Spokesperson also requested people to stay in isolation once coronavirus is confirmed and asked coronavirus infected people without symptoms to stay in home isolation if possible.
Dr Gautam urged all to have positive thoughts and change lifestyle so as to deal with the infection in an effective way and unite in the fight against it. He also asked them to follow public health standards. The country recorded 1,111 new infection cases yesterday alone, with eight deaths from the virus. He expressed empathy towards the employees on duty to prevent and control the infection.
“All bodies of the country have worked day and night to fight the virus. Families of the people in the fight against it have contracted the infection. All the employees who are fighting the virus and their families should be support in such hard times.” RSS
