COVID-19: 27 new cases detected, Nepal’s total tally hits 402

May 20 : 27 more cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed from 13 various districts in the country on Tuesday (May 19).

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, of them, nine are from Jhapa district, four from Kapilvastu district, three from Kathmandu, two from Sarlahi, and one each from Morang, Sunsari, Makwanpur, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, Sindhuli, Nawalparasi, Ramechhap and Lamjung.

The Epidemiology and Disease Control Division is said to have begun their contact tracing. With the latest addition, the total number of people diagnosed with coronavirus in Nepal has reached 402.

Meanwhile, one person recovered from the disease and returned home from Koshi Hospital in Biratnagar yesterday. This takes the total number of recovered cases in Nepal to 37. So far, two COVID-19 related fatalities have taken place in the country.
