June 18 : The country has seen the highest single-day spike in coronavirus cases on Wednesday (June 17), with the detection of 586 new such cases. Of the newly infected, 546 persons are males and 40 are females.
With this, Nepal’s COVID-19 tally has surged to 7,177, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.
So far, the deadly disease has claimed 20 lives, while 1,167 people have recovered from it. Similarly, till date,149,772 tests through Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) method and 233,543 Rapid Diagnostic Tests (RDT) have been carried out.
At present, there are 125,798 people under quarantine in various facilities across the country while 5,990 persons are in isolation.
