Kathmandu, April 22: Eleven more COVID-19 cases have been confirmed on Tuesday (April 21), thus pushing the total number of such cases in Nepal to 42.
Samir Adhikari, the assistant spokesperson at the Ministry of Health and Population, informed that 11 individuals from Udaypur tested positive for coronavirus.
Following the exaination of throat swab samples at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan, the samples of the suspected coronavirus patients were dispatched to Teku based National Public Health Laboratory earlier yesterday. The NPHL detected the additional 10 cases through the PCR method.
So far, the COVID-19 cases have reached 24 in Udyapur alone and 42 in the entire country.
