Kathmandu, August 6 : Two more persons infected with COVID-19 have died on Wednesday (August 5), thus taking the total number of such deaths to 60 in the country.
The 18-year-old woman and the 46-year-old man— both from the Parsa district- died of the disease, according to the Health Ministry.
The ministry also confirmed a total of 381 new cases yesterday from 6,359 polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests.
Of the newly infected individuals, 151 are from Parsa, 57 from Kathmandu, 28 from Bara, 17 each from Mahottari and Syangja, 14 from Morang, 13 from Banke, 12 from Dhanusha, 11 each from Bajhang, 10 from Surkhet, nine from Kapilvastu, eight from Saptari and five each from Lalitpur and Sarlahi.
Similarly, four from Makwanpur, three from Gorkha, two each from Baglung, Dhading, Ilam, Rautahat, Siraha and Sunsari and one each from Dang, Kalikot, Kaski, Sindhupalchok and Udaypur also tested positive for the coronavirus.
