Bhaktapur, March 2: A team of 18 crew members of the Nepal Airlines Corporation, who were put into a quarantine following their arrival from corona virus-hit Wuhan of China, have returned their home on Sunday (March 1) after completing their 15 days long stay.
The team of the people including the pilot of a Nepal Airlines Corporation aircraft were kept in quarantine at a Drinking Water Training Center building in Nagarkot. They were discharged after the reports of their nasal and throat swab specimens tested corona virus-negative, it has been said. The families and relatives of the people reached the quarantine area to receive them.
Their swab samples collected on February 16 and 29 were sent to the National Public Health Laboratory for tests, said Nepali Army colonial Shiva Poudel, who was assigned to provide security to the group of the people. However, 175 others who are also kept in the quarantine after their evacuation from Wuhan city are yet to be discharged. Their swab samples collected on Saturday were been sent to the Laboratory but the reports are expected to come by Monday, according to the Ministry of Health.
