Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Jeewan Ram Shrestha stressed the need to promote the culture and heritage as the identity-markers of the country.
At a Gaijatra and Ropain Jatra programme and prize distribution ceremony here today, Minister Shrestha expressed his confidence that the culture, festival and processions of the country would help establish Nepal’s identity at international arena and attract foreign tourists.
It is tourism that propels the country’s dream of prosperity, he said, adding, blending nature, culture and heritage was a must for tourism promotion in the country. On the occasion, Bagmati Province Assembly member Tsering Dorje Lama said the cultural and religious processions practicing in the country have demonstrated national unity.
