Kathmandu, October 16 : Senior citizens of over 70 years have been honoured here Tuesday.
Centenary person Satyamohan Joshi honoured 20 senior citizens from Gokarneshwor and Budhanilakantha municipalities at a programme organized by the Jagdol Resident Group at Jagdol of Kathmandu.
On the occasion, he said it was divine blessing to have the life of senior citizen. He suggested the elderly ones that could spend time with spiritual thinking.
He also suggested the concerned people and people’s representatives of the area to develop Jagdol as a tourist destination because the Jogdol hill bears historic, archaeological and religious values.
Centenary person Joshi was also honoured jointly by the Mayors of Gokarneshwor and Budhanilakantha municipalities- Santosh Chalise and Uddhav Prasad Kharel respectively.
On the occasion, it was informed that Rs 10 million budget was allocated for promoting hiking and cycling on the Jogdol-Tarebhir-Sundarijal section. RSS
