Kathmandu, July 15: Domestic flights have resumed their operations to and from Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) from Sunday afternoon, July 14. Owing to the incessant rainfall for the last few days, the flight operation from various domestic airports including the country’s sole international airport was halted. Because of this, many passengers were stranded at different domestic airports across the county.
With some improvement in visibility, flights have started to operate as per the regular schedule. Nevertheless, a few domestic airports in the mountainous region- Lukla, Rumjatar, Lamidanda- and few in Terai region- Janakpur, Simara and Chandragadhi- are yet to resume operations.
On the other side, international flights were not affected due to continuous rainfall.
