DPR of Kerung-Kathmandu railway in six months

Kathmandu, March 30: The government has forwarded the process to construct railways giving top priority. It is stated that the modality for the DPR of Kerung-Kathmandu railway would be finalized within six months.
Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Raghubir Mahaseth shared at the ongoing Investment Summit that the process was forwarded to the same, giving special priority. 
The Minister also informed that the cost to the project would be of around 300 billion rupees. The study would be carried out soon to collect the fund to the project, Minister said. Minister Mahaseth also argued that the physical infrastructure and transport was kept in top priority by the government. 
The government was bringing the private sectors in confidence to involve them in the government mission of development and prosperity, he argued, further informing that construction of Kathmandu-Tarai expressway was also intensified. 
“The foreign investors can come to Nepal and invest without any doubt,” he called on the participants. As he said the pre-feasibility study of Kathmandu-Raxaul railway was also complete. The process has been initiated to construct monorail in the Kathmandu Valley. 
On the occasion, Deputy General Manager of China Railway International shared that China had also given special importance to link Nepal and China with the railway. 
He underscored the need for an immediate decision on construction of Kerung-Kathmandu railway and also the DPR of Kerung-Kathmandu be done fast.
