The number of e-SIM (Embedded Subscriber Identity Module) users in Nepal has exceeded 29,000. Nepal Telecom Spokesperson Shobhan Adhikari informed that more than 29,000 e-SIMs have been issued since September 16, 2022.
Nepal Telecom initially distributed e-SIMs from its Sundhara counter. Since September 20, the distribution was started from Naxal, Chahbil, Thimi, Bhaktapur, Patan, Gongabu, Chhauni and Pulchowk customer service centers, and e-SIMs have been made available across the country from November 24, 2022 onwards.
“Old customers of Nepal Telecom can get an e-SIM for free if they want. Those who want to get a new postpaid e-SIM can get it at the current selling price,” Spokesman Adhikari said, “In the e-SIM, the customers can connect to up to 20 networks according to their device.”
