In a regional conference organized by the Nepali Congress Kathmandu Constituency-5 on Monday, Finance Minister Mahat claimed that the budget has been prepared by keeping the country and the people at the center of the economy.

“Some groups are not satisfied with the budget. We have prepared the budget without listening to any interest group with strong determination. The budget helps to make the economy dynamic. It has incorporated all areas,” he said.

Finance Minister Mahat made it clear that his concern is towards the country and the people.

“Our expectations are high but the resources and means are limited. We should utilize the available resources as much as possible to make the economy vibrant,”he said.

Mahat, who is also the spokesperson for the Nepali Congress, said that discipline is necessary within the party.

He said that if the Nepali Congress is strong, there is no need for the party to ally with any other political party or power.
