Electricity demand decreased this Tihar

Kathmandu, 11 Nov: The demand of electricity during the Tihar festival decreased to 1105 MW this year compared to last year.

Though Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) was prepared to manage the demand for 1500 MW this Tihar, the consumption went less and the reasons for the lesser consumption are the upgraded distribution system and awareness of better utilization of electricity among consumers.
