The Ministry of Finance (Nepal) has initiated the necessary process to prepare the budget for the next fiscal year.
According to ministry spokesperson Tank Prasad Pandey, a Revenue Advisory Committee has been formed in line with the prescribed budget preparation schedule.
The committee is tasked with providing recommendations to the government on economic policies and budget-related measures for the upcoming fiscal plan.
Following the ministry’s decision, the committee was established under the coordination of the Secretary (Revenue) of the Ministry of Finance and has already started its work.
The committee will offer suggestions on policy and legal reforms concerning income tax, value-added tax (VAT), excise duty, education service fees, digital service tax, taxes on e-commerce, and other internal taxes as outlined in the Finance Act.
