The Ministry of Finance (MoF) has reached the final stage in preparing essential documents for the upcoming Fiscal Year (FY) 2025/26 budget. According to MoF Spokesperson Shyam Prasad Bhandari, the ministry is wrapping up key publications, including the Economic Survey, institutional progress reports, and ministry-wise performance details.
The compilation of data related to the mobilization of technical assistance is also nearing completion. Additionally, the MoF has almost finalized major financial documents such as the budget statement, expenditure estimates, Finance Bill, Appropriation Bill, Bill to Raise National Debt, and the Loan and Guarantee Bill.
The MoF has already submitted the principles and priorities of the FY 2025/26 budget to Parliament. With the budget set to be announced this Thursday, preparations are underway for various publications scheduled for release before, during, and after the announcement.
Officials have also begun drafting the budget speech that Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel will deliver in Parliament, with finalization expected within the next three days.
