The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) has urged its district and municipal chambers, along with its members, to implement the government’s directive mandating the use of domestic products in public institutions.
FNCCI President Chandra Prasad Dhakal praised the government’s approval of the Guidelines for Using Domestic Products in Public Entities-2024, describing it as a significant step toward strengthening Nepal’s economy.
Issued under Section 68 of the Industrial Enterprise Act, 2020, the directive aims to optimize the use of local resources, stimulate domestic production, generate employment, reduce imports, and expand the market for Nepali goods.
Highlighting the importance of this move, the FNCCI called on its members to prioritize and promote Nepali products wherever possible to support the nation’s economic growth.
