Kaski, December 5 : Chief Minister of Gandaki Province Prithvi Subba Gurung has said the government had a plan to make the Province self reliant on agro production.
Speaking in a programme organized by the Ministry of Land Management and Cooperatives in Pokhara on December 5, CM Gurung said the provincial government was forwarding the agricultural projects after conducting the environmental study. He added that the Province would see the result within coming five years.
The CM argued that the government was preparing agro based mega projects with an objective of engaging youths in it.
Speaking in the programme, speaker at the Province Assembly, Netra Nath Adhikari, opined for stopping unscientific land plotting.
Provincial Ministers Kiran Gurung, Lekh Bahadur Thapa, lawmakers Ram Ji Prasad Baral, Krishna Thapa, Prakash Chandra Dawadi, Bishnu Prasad Lamichhane and Hari Sharan Acharya stressed on effective agriculture related projects.
