Kathmandu, January 27: Garage Inc, the first mobile application of its kind in Nepal, has been launched in the capital.
Speaking during the launching program held recently, Mr.Bidaya Sundar Shakya, Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City stated that this hi-tech application will be of great benefit to the vehicle owners based in the Kathmandu Valley.
The app, which can be installed in both mobile phone and desktop, features various services and facilities related particularly to the motorbikes.
“The application helps not only in booking appointment for vehicle repairs, servicing and parts fitting but also in buying auto parts and accessories,” states the press release adding, “It also keeps track of all repair histories and financial transactions apart from notifying renewal deadlines of the concerned documents( like blue-book), servicing and insurance premium payment.”
There is a plan to also incorporate the services and facilities related to the four-wheeler in the app in the near future. “Similarly, preparations are being made to expand its networks countrywide,” the company informs.
The app has now some 20 service centers in the valley related to the two-wheeler.
According to Mayor Shakya, it shall be mandatory for any auto-related company to have PAN number as well as a minimum standard of physical infrastructure for getting registered in the app.
