The price of gold and silver has increased today. The price of gold rose by NPR 5,600 per tola.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers Association, the price of gold reached NPR 320,500 per tola on Sunday after the increase.
Earlier, the price of gold had increased by NPR 10,700 from Monday to Thursday last week. However, on the previous Friday, the price fell by NPR 500 per tola, dropping to NPR 314,900.
On Magh 15, the price of gold surged by NPR 20,500 in a single day, reaching NPR 339,300 per tola, which is the highest recorded price of gold in the Nepali market so far.
The price of silver also increased today by NPR 254 per tola, reaching NPR 5,985 per tola, according to the federation.
On Magh 18, the price of silver had dropped by NPR 1,565 per tola, which was the largest decline in silver price to date.
On Magh 15, the price of silver had reached NPR 7,505 per tola, which remains the highest price of silver recorded so far.
