In a notable development, gold and silver prices have sharply increased in Nepal’s domestic market. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of gold jumped by Rs 1,900 per tola, reaching Rs 198,500 on Tuesday, up from Rs 196,600 recorded on Monday.
Similarly, silver prices also climbed, registering an increase of Rs 25 per tola. The new rate now stands at Rs 2,280, compared to Rs 2,255 the previous day.
These price hikes reflect growing global market volatility and increased demand, which often influence precious metal rates in Nepal.
