The price of gold in Nepal witnessed a sharp rise on Tuesday, marking one of the largest single-day increases in recent times.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Associations (FENEGOSIDA), the price of gold surged by Rs 5,300 per tola, reaching Rs 189,900 per tola, up from Rs 184,600 on Monday.
Silver prices also experienced an uptick. The precious metal is now being traded at Rs 1,965 per tola, an increase of Rs 55 from the previous rate of Rs 1,910.
The significant spike in gold prices reflects ongoing volatility in the global precious metals market, influenced by geopolitical tensions and changing monetary policies.
