Gold prices in the Nepali market have been continuously declining for the past three days, following a fall in the international market.
On Sunday, the price of gold dropped sharply by Rs 11,600 per tola in a single day, settling at Rs 241,900 per tola. The following day (Monday), it further declined by Rs 2,000 per tola to trade at Rs 239,900.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price fell again today by Rs 2,900 per tola, reaching Rs 237,000. Similarly, the price of silver decreased by Rs 60 per tola and is being traded at Rs 2,920 per tola.
In the international market, gold is currently being traded at around USD 3,975 per ounce.
