The government has introduced special discount facilities until the end of Bhadra 2083 to promote international flights from Gautam Buddha International Airport in Bhairahawa and Pokhara International Airport.
In a press release issued on Friday, the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation announced the discounts and concessions approved by the government.
The first facility is a complete waiver of the NPR 3,000 passenger service fee charged on international flight tickets from Pokhara and Gautam Buddha International Airports.
The second facility is a full exemption of parking, landing, and navigation fees for international flights from both airports.
The third facility is a complete waiver of the NPR 1,000 tourism fee charged on international flight tickets.
The fourth facility offers a 75% discount on ground handling fees for international flights at both airports.
According to the press release, these discount and concession facilities are being implemented until the end of Bhadra 2083 as per the “Comprehensive Reform of the Civil Aviation Sector and Operational Plan for Gautam Buddha and Pokhara International Airports” approved by the Government of Nepal (Council of Ministers) on 28 Shrawan 2081.
