The government has revoked the Government of Nepal (Council of Ministers)’s decision of 21 September 2018 regarding the Budhigandaki Hydroelectricity Project.

Minister for Communication and Information Technology Gyanendra Bahadur Karki said this while addressing a press conference organized at the Ministry to inform about the decisions made by the meeting of the Council of Ministers on April 7.

The government has decided to assign separate officials to acquire land and to carry out initial works for the Amlekhganj sub-station, the West Seti Corridor 400 KV Transmission Line Project, and the Latinath 33 KV Transmission Line and Sub-station.

The meeting of the Council of Ministers has decided to grant approval for the use of 4.28 hectares of land of the national forest at Marsyangdi Rural Municipality-6 and 7 in Lamjung district for the construction of physical infrastructures including the intake, audit, and powerhouse of the Hindikhola Hydropower Project.

Similarly, the government has given approval for the installation of a statue of Saintly Leader and former Prime Minister the late Krishna Prasad Bhattarai along with a stone inscription at an appropriate place near the gate to the tunnel at Sundarijal in Kathmandu.

It has also decided to grant approval for acquiring around 10 ropanis land for the Yak Genetics Resource Centre and pasture ground for yak and Nak in Solukhumbu. Also the government spokesperson, Minister Karki informed on the occasion that the government has granted approval to a delegation led by Minister for Youth and Sports to participate in the Rocky Mountain Championship, 2022 to be held in Colorado the USA from Baisakh 17 to 18, 2079 BS.

A decision has been made to assign the construction site for the construction of the buildings and other structures of the Bidushi Yogmaya Ayurveda University by acquiring land at Khandbari Municipality-9, Sankhuwasabha and Khadananda Municipality-6, Bhojpur.

The decision by the government includes issuing approval for the renewal of the MoU for sending Nepali migrant workers to South Korea through the Employment Permit System (EPS) and permitting the Nepali delegations to participate in the 5th Global Conference on the Elimination of Child Labour to be held in South Africa from 16-20 May this year.

The government decided to give approval in principle for the establishment of the Senior Citizen Hospital having specialists.
