Butwal, April 2: Minister for Finance Dr Yuwaraj Khatiwada has asserted that the incumbent government always honoured the working class and believes the labourers should get results proportionate to their labour.
Addressing the six annual general assembly of the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association at Manigram of Tilottama Municipality of Rupandehi district on Monday (April 1), Minister Khatiwada said that the government was going to launch a five-year programme from the next fiscal year, which would also incorporate the skills upgradation plan for the private sector.
He assured that the government was ready to enable the favourable environment to promote the craftsmanship in metal and artisans if the gold and silver dealers were willing to cooperate.
Furthermore, the Minister urged the gold and silver dealers to work towards increasing productivity and getting more results and called upon the gold and silver dealers to modernize the traditional metal craftsmanship.
Stating that it was normal that the demand of gold and silver was up in the market,
Minister Khatiwada said that the government was ready to increase the quota for the same.
He also shared the foreigners were keen for considering an investment in Nepal for the excavation of the iron, steel and other valuable minerals.
Similarly, Provincial Minister for Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment Leela Giri underscored the need to address the lack of laws in the federal and provincial government.
Likewise, Association’s President Mohan Kumar Sunar drew the attention of the government towards the problems facing the gold and silver dealers in lack of quota for gold and silver . RSS
