Kathmandu, February 3: Revenue Secretary of Finance Ministry, Shishir Kumar Dhungana, has assured that the government would recover the outstanding capital gain taxes from Ncell within the current fiscal year.
” Ncell has submitted a plan to the Large Taxpayers’ Office for clearing all its dues in fourth installment. This will happen by June this year,” he said responding to queries raised by lawmakers in the meeting of the Public Accounts Committee of the House of Representatives on Sunday (Feb 2).
According to Dhungana, out of the total outstanding dues of around Rs 22.44 billion, this private telecom company has already paid 20 percent as per the Supreme Court (SC) order. The company is said to be looking to pay the remaining 80 percent in the fourth installment.
