Kathmandu, January 12: The Patan High Court has recently ordered Yeti Group to refrain from the ongoing construction of a commercial building at the property of Nepal Trust in Durbar Marg, according to media reports.
A single bench of Judge Nahakul Subedi issued the direction to this effect while responding to the writ filed by Advocate Pariwartan Rai claiming that the commercial building is being unlawfully constructed.
According to the writ, the Office of Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Nepal Trust and Thamserku Developers, a sister organization of Yeti Group gave the property of Nepal Trust on lease in an illicit way.
Advocate Rai claims that the country has incurred a loss of Rs five billion after Nepal Trust leased the land to the developers for 30 years.
