Himalaya Airlines is set to begin flights between Pokhara and Lhasa on March 31, marking the start of regular commercial flights from Pokhara Regional International Airport (PRIA) after 27 months of operation.
According to the airline’s current schedule, a Kathmandu-Lhasa flight will depart from Tribhuvan International Airport at 8:30 am on March 31, arriving at Lhasa Gonggar International Airport at 12:05 pm local time in China. On the same day, a Lhasa-Pokhara flight will depart at 1:15 pm.
Additionally, on April 1, Himalaya Airlines will operate a Pokhara-Lhasa flight from PRIA at 8:20 am local time, followed by a return flight from Lhasa to Kathmandu on the same day.
Himalaya Airlines stated that the new route aims to enhance air connectivity between Nepal and China, fostering stronger people-to-people ties while promoting tourism and trade.
