Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Dilendra Prasad Badu on Saturday said the private sector should play an important role in carrying our reforms in import-oriented economy of the country.
He stressed the need for the private sector to increase industrial and agricultural productions so as to minimize import-oriented, remove dependence on foods and other essentials and maintain trade.
The minister was inaugurating the 49th annual general meeting of the Morang Industry Association here on Saturday.
Stating that the incumbent government was ready to make reforms in the monetary policy for helping the private sector, he said it as per suggestions from entrepreneurs’ associations has managed subsidies through the budget in land, energy and export industries.
He also stressed the need for operating container train transportation after resolving problems resolving compensation for acquiring lands for the project in Katahari in Morang.
