Kathmandu, July 10 : A number of Indian news channels have been stopped from being aired in Nepal on Thursday evening (July 9).
The Multi-System Operators (MSO) blocked them for coming up with baseless and defamatory news reports on Nepali premier K.P Oli along with Chinese ambassador to Nepal Hou Yanqi.
According to the cable operators, Nepali audience will not have access to any Indian news channels excluding the Indian state owned Doordarshan news from now onward.
Particularly the Indian news channel, Zee Hindustan, aired over 15 minutes long video, making falsely sensational claims about the relations between the PM Oli and the Chinese envoy.
Earlier yesterday, Yubaraj Khatiwada, the government spokesperson, also announced that the government would seek legal and political remedies against some Indian media channels for their offensive acts.
