Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport (MoPIT) and the Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) are jointly organizing the 4th Nepal Infrastructure Summit in Kathmandu on Sept 8-9.
Office of the Investment Board of Nepal (OIBN) and Youth Community For Nepalese Contractors are the co-organizers of the event.
According to the organizers, the program will identify major hurdles in the implementation of infrastructure projects related to transport, energy, urban development, and drinking water and sanitation. Likewise, it also aims at evaluating the outcomes of the past editions of the summit and requesting the government to fulfill pledges made for infrastructure development.
Attracting the private sector investment in the infrastructure development sector and prioritizing the development of green projects to achieve sustainable development goals (SDGs) are the other objectives of the summit.
The program is expected to draw over 600 participants from 25 countries, according to the organizers.
