Jajarkot, April 21: Construction of a substation of the 132-kV transmission line has been delayed due to hassles relating to environmental impact assessment (EIA) and lack of clarity on the cost estimate. Four Karnali districts here have been deprived of regular power supply because of the delayed construction of the substation.
Similarly, the Kohalpur-Jajarkot 33-kV transmission line has faced problems in power supply due to the placement of a substation on a longer distance than of the required (on a distance of 150 kilometers against the needed 60 kilometers) said Nepal Electricity Authority ( NEA) Jajarkot Distribution Center’s Chief Lok Bahadur Khadka.
Power supply to Surkhet, Dailekh and Rukum west has been affected due to the same reason. Karnali State lacks the substation of 132- KV transmission line which has hampered the electricity supply in Jajarkot and Surkhet. RSS
