Kathmandu, September 21 : The online revenue collection service started by the Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) is found to have been effective. The metropolis launched this service from ward no. 1, 2, 3, 4,10,11,15, 26, 30 and 31 on September 17. According to the KMC, the revenue worth Rs 3.6 million revenue has been collected from 257 tax-payers belonging to these 10 wards in the last three days.
As the initiation of the digital service to collect taxes proved effective, it has been further expanded into 10 more wards- 5, 6, 7, 9, 12, 14, 16, 28, 29 and 32- from today.
Director of the Revenue Department at the KMC, Shivaraj Adhikari, said the the very service will come into operation all the 35 wards of the metropolis by this weekend.
