Kathmandu, August 20 : The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) is all set to set up an isolation ward of 5,000 beds within a week in collaboration with the federal, state and local governments.
Issuing an appeal on Wednesday (April 19), KMC Mayor Bidya Sundar Shakya said that the preparations are in full swing to construct the 5,000-bed isolation ward for the management of coronavirus infected people in the wake of increasing cases of COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley of late. Mayor Shakya also urged the valley dwellers to help government in effective implementation of the week-long lockdown.
